NEPAL SCOUTS
- Introduction:-
- Nepal Scouts was established on 18th June, 1952 as Nepal Scouts and Guides Association.
The father of the nation the late king HM Tribhuvan Bir Bikram Shah Dev opened this association by hoisting its flag in Narayanhiti Royal Palace.
Nepal Scouts is a joint association with two separate sections viz Boys and Girls. Both section function as per the requirments and policy of WOSM and WAGGGS.
The Boy section of Nepal Scouts was awarded with the full membership of WOSM in 1969 and the Girl section received its full membership from the WAGGGS in 1984.
- The Mission:-
- The mission of Nepal Scouts is to attract and educate more and more young people through scouting to develop themselves physically, mentally, socially, spritually, and emotionally in order to make themselves responsible citizens and inculcate in them the sprit of world Brotherhood and Sisterhood.
